Course Description:
This course is designed to allow students direct exposure to the economic, social and cultural environment of Hungary. The six week course provides student with visits to cultural sites, group study tours, weekly seminars on aspects of Hungarian culture, better understanding of the corporate and organizational work environment, and the opportunity to live in Budapest. The emphasis will be on understanding and resolving complex and dynamic issues associated with the design, execution, and improvement of operations and processes.

Daily entries and a 4-page analysis of personal cultural response/adaptation based on your journal (typed, double-spaced)
Group Essay/Presentation Discussion, research and analysis of different Hungarian work environments norms.
35% Due Aug 14 th
Speaker synopsis

Due first Monday after talk
Participation
(three students/companies per paper)* 10-12 pages (typed, double-spaced)
(paper 25%; Aug 3 - seminar discussion of paper 10%)
2-page overview & discussion of one speaker’s presentation topic (typed, double spaced, no research needed)
Supervisor's and instructor's assessment & seminar attendance/active participation
