Building Links With Other Academies: Parkdale Secondary College Costing A charge will apply fort the course, we estimate that this will be about $400 (per annum) This includes a Berwick College uniform, all tournament fees, cost to receive various qualifications and the expert coaching. We have been able to keep our costings to a minimum as our program is predominantly ran by qualified teachers with basketball expertise. Costings may change in the future, however, Gerard is an approved Basketball Victoria Coaching presenter and can run the coaching courses at school, helping us again minimise costs. Enrolment Process Application forms will be due at the end of term 2 to BSC’s front office (20th of June) Early term 3 try outs held at the school (if required) We are hopeful ALL students trying out for the academy will be accepted into the program. The program will be levelled, so each participating student is receiving coaching to their current abilities. 2013 Achievements • Year 7/8 Girls finish 2nd and 3rd at State 3 on 3 competition • Year 7/8 Boys 3rd place State 3 on 3 competition • Year 7/8 Boys Regional Runners Up (VCC Tournament) • Year 7/8 Boys State VCC Finalist (5th place) • Year 7/8 Girls Regional Runners Up (VCC Tournament) • Year 7/8 Girls State VCC Finalist (9th place) • Year 7 Girls current Division, District and Regional champions Have progressed to State Championships (VSSSA Tournament) • Year 8 Boys current Division, District and Regional champions Have progressed to State Championships (VSSSA Tournament) Past Success State Champions – Junior Girls State Runners Up – Intermediate Boys Berwick SC 35 def Rowville Sports Academy 23 Box Hill Senior College 38 def Berwick SC 35 For further enquiries please contact, Mr Chris Pentland Director Email: pentland.chris.k@edumail.vic.gov.au Phone: 8768 1090
