The school is a member of the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA), the Texas Association of NonPublic Schools (TANS), the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), and the Independent Schools Association (ISA). Official class rank is computed after the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth semesters. The final calculation for official senior class rank is prepared after the last scheduled senior exam. Grade Point Average and class rank are based upon the collegiate 4.0 grade point average. The GPA is weighted. HIGH SCHOOL CONNECTION COURSES Junior and Senior students who have a grade point average of 3.5 (90%) and above may be eligible for dual enrollment classes offered by the University of the Incarnate Word. This program enables students to earn up to 18 hours of college credit while completing their requirements for a high school diploma. Students attend college courses which are taught by college professors on a college campus with college students in attendance. The grades earned in the High School Connection Program are recorded on the student’s SACHS transcript and become part of the UIW official college record and transcript.
