THE ROYAL WEDDING

Prince William and Kate Middleton, who are now married

Kate Middleton and the Prince William have been married since the 29th of April, 2011. It was an
important day for the Royal Family. For England too, because this day was a day off !

Catherine Elizabeth Middleton ( also called Kate Middleton ) was born on the 9th of January, 1982, in
Reading, a town of Berkshire, in England. She doesn’t come from a royal or aristocratic family and
therefore, she doesn’t have any title of her own. After the wedding, she received the royal title of her
husband, William.
•
William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales ( also called Prince William of Wales ) was born on the 21st of
June, in London. He is the son of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer so he is a member of the Royal
Family.

The young couple lives a romantic relationship. Kate met William in 2001, at St Andrews University.
Their engagement was on the 16th of October 2010. Since their engagement, the young couple attracts
newspapers, television, Internet … attention.

The wedding was organized on Friday April 29th 2011. Kate and William chose this date because they
wanted their marriage to be in spring season, and on a Friday. The ceremony started at 11.00 a.m. Many
people have been waiting for this important event for long time a. Many guests such as David and Victoria
Beckham, Guy Ritchie, Rowan Atkinson ... have attended the ceremony which took place in the
Westminster Abbey, in London.

The day was spent in good mood. William got a new official title : Duke of Cambridge and Kate got the
duchess of Cambridge title. Kate wore a beautiful and white dress, and William, a red suit with medals and
black trousers .There was a magnificent eight-tiered wedding cake and another one which had the chocolate
taste .The archbishop blessed the young couple, church singers sang religious weddings songs. Then, they
said: “I will” in front of millions of spectators and TV viewers at approximately 12.15. They exchanged a
romantic kiss !
But the before-wedding was too mediatic ; paparazzi followed any gestures of the lovers,scoops or rumors
per hundreds on the Internet ! People can find a lot of derivative items(memorabilia) such as mugs, key rings,
mobile phones customization … Moreover the event was broadcast in a lot of TV channels all around the
world.
We wish them to have a great life together !
JAPAN DISASTER
On Friday, March 11th, an earthquake magnitude 9 and a tsunami hit Japan. There
were twenty-seven thousand dead and missing people and a lot of damages.
The Fukushima’s nuclear station had very big problems and it reactors were damaged.
Following the failure of cooling systems, many reactors have experienced explosions
and a radioactive cloud started to spread all around the world. The cloud rose above
France on the twenty third of March but it was not dangerous for the population.
Everybody ran away off Fukushima. The workmen refreshed reactors with cold water
but the water became radioactive. A part of this water was rejected in the sea. The
radioactive cloud disappeared but Japan is going to be contaminated for a long time.
Japan can’t export food because there are radioactive risks. Japanese population can’t
drink tap water, eat fresh vegetables. They have to wear mask outdoor and indoor and
they don’t often go out. Japan is in critical condition.

The Davis Cup is a tennis (ATP) tournament which different nations play. Each team chooses
its best players. A coach is selected to decide of the team’s formation

The best countries play between them to win the Davis Cup.
The tournament takes places every year between March and December:
-3 days in March (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
-3 days in July after Wimbledon
-3 days in September
-3 days in December
The place of the match is draws lots but it is always in the country of one of the adversary.
In 1899, Dwight F. Davis (1879-1945), an American student of the University Harvard, one of
the best tennis players of moment, has the idea to create an international annual
competition between the United States and Great Britain. The first Davis Cup takes place in
Boston, Massachusetts, on courts in lawn of Longwood Cricket Club, from August 7th to
August 10th, 1900. Next year, the meeting doesn’t take plays but in 1902 the tournament
started again with a new cup, an immense silver salad bowl. The name of the winning team is
engraved every year on the base which supports the Salad bowl and the winner keeps it until
the next final.
Between 1900 and 1910, only six teams took part in the event
In 2010, the French team lost in final versus the Serbian team.
This cup is very important for the players of the whole world because it is necessary to fight
in team to win it and because it is a pride for its country

On the 30th of January, the handball French team won the world championship for 4th time in

France history in Sweden stadium versus the Denmark team with the score of 37-35.
The French team won their first world championship in 1995 and their nickname was “les
barjots”. Today they are called “les experts” because they think they are the best team in the
world.
Secondly, they won a second title with “les costauds” in 2OO1. It’s already AMAZING!!!!!!
Actually they obtained the four last major tournaments: Beijing Olympics games in 2008, their
third world champion’s title in 2009, Croatia European championship in 2010 and Sweden
world championship in 2011!!!!! It’s wonderful and they are the only team which released this
feat!!!!!!!!!!!
But their opponents become stronger at every championship. For example in 2008 they won
easily versus Island and at the last tournament they went into overtime.
TODAY they are training for the London Olympics games for a 5th title in a row!
However the Handball is a sport unrecognized in France despite their efforts.

We are four cats but at the end of the movie we become five, we're a family, the mother with her 3 babies who leave in
a big house in Paris with Mrs Bonnefamille and Edgar.

I am famous for my giant and white smile, impressive, no ? I can disappear, my smile
stays; this is what happened in Alice in the Wonderland. At the origin, far far away, I played in
Alice in wonderland's Walt Disney's adaptation, so I was striped pink and pink and I was cute
!
I much prefer Tim Burton's version, where I have bright eyes and a bigger smile, I'm striped
now grey and blue and I'm scary and malicious.....( sadistic laugh ). I'm fond of philosophical

Don’t Worry , Be Hippie !

The Hippie movement started on the 60s on reaction to the war of the Vietnam . The Hippie are
essentially the children of the baby boom , they didn’t want of a consumer society and they tried to
make a return to nature by using drugs such as LSD and marijuana . This phenomenon arrived in
Europe on the 70s .
The music is very related to this fashion movement, there were lots of musician hippie such as John
Lennon with the Beatles , Jimmy Hendrix , Jim Morrisson , Janis Joplin , Joe Cocker and many
others. Their messages were «Make Love Not War» and «Peace and Love» .They generally dressed
with long and large trousers and flowered shirts for man and long dress for the woman . They also
wore lots of hair band and long necklace . But their clothes were very strange and they are
generally wore with anything.
The peak of Hippie movement is in Woodstock . The Bigger music festival of the world . There were
500 000 people , and lots of famous singers . Joe Cocker , during his concert leave the stage and say
: « None of those who were here will never need to feel alone » . It was gigantic and single .
But with the death of overdose of Jimmy Hendrix , Janis Joplin and Jim Morrisson , People began to
find Hippie ridiculous . And to think drugs are bad for the health . The LSD was banned in America
and John Lennon was not allowed to enter in America for traffic of drugs . The rolling stones tried to
do an other Woodstock but it was a disaster , there were 300 000 people and someone was killed
for point a gin at Mike Jagger . it was the end of the Hippie , people found them has-been and
called them baba cool .
The Hippie gave Birth to the punk’s movement . Hippie thought it was bad to punish children and
didn’t want to upset them . The children become rotten gaiety and disgusted of all plus the misery

Maybe you don’t believe in coincidences but all things which are about eleven are really strange and worried.
We can start with
September 11th , 2001
Nineteen terrorists associated with Al Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and crashed three of them into buildings.
Two into Twin Towers and one into the Pentagon, near Washington.
In one of this plane, there where 65 people, and in the other, there were 92 people.
Look: 6+5=11 & 9+2=11
That isn’t all. The 11th of September is the 254 day of the year ( 2+5+4=11 ). And there are 111 days before the
end of the year. Impressive, no ?
911 days later ( 9+1+1=11 ), the 11th of March in 2004, there ten bombs exploded in several trains of Madrid,
three days before the general elections.
Haiti earthquake happened on the 11th of January and the same thing happened in Japan on the 11 th of March.
Coincidence ? Maybe.
