Adobe Connect Info
Testing your computer and web browser for adequate connection:
The following link to is an Adobe Connect diagnostic connection test:
http://admin.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm
This test will ensure your computer and network connections are properly configured to provide
you with the best possible Adobe Connect meeting experience:
All students are required to perform this connection test prior to the first meeting. The test
checks to see if you have the latest version of Flash, whether your browser can connect to a
meeting, whether you have adequate internet connection speed, and whether the Abode Connect
browser plugin is installed. If you are a first time user of Adobe Connect, you will be prompted
to install the plugin.
Before to each class meeting, it is highly recommended that you perform the connection test
again and log into the adobe connect classroom at least 15 minutes ahead of time to avoid any
technical problems that could delay your participation in the class meeting.
Using Your Headset
It is recommended that you use a headset with a microphone during the online live Adobe
Connect class meetings. Using your headsets will improve the sounds quality and user
experience for all participants.
Audio Wizard Setup
You will most likely need to perform the Audio Wizard Setup. You need to do this before the
Adobe Connect meeting begins. The following link is an online meeting room where you can do
this setup: http://meet.maine.edu/r3cipwngzft/

Special Note about Win64:

Adobe Connect meetings will not run on a Windows 64 bit OS desktop as Flash does not
have 64 bit support. If the client is using a 64 bit browser then they will not be able to
participate in a meeting.
However, you can run a 32 bit browser in the 64 bit environment and then use the Flash
Player with that browser. Same would go for the Connect Add-in as it would be loaded
into the 32 bit browser as well.
To see if you have all of the Adobe add-ins, check the Connect Downloads page for more
information and resources.
