Assessment Support Pack (ASP)
 The new Units will not contain NAB
assessments
 SQA is developing a generic ASP at all levels
 The ASP will provide exemplification of
assessment and suggest assessment
approaches
 Exemplification will be provided in French with
an English translation
Assessment Support Pack (cont.)
 ASPs can be accessed by SQA Co-ordinators
 ASP exemplars can be adapted to suit the
needs of particular candidate groups
 Centres are encouraged to produce/adapt
assessments which suit the needs of particular
candidate groups
 Exemplars based on a range of scenarios
 Exemplars also contain approaches which
integrate assessments
Verification
 Centres can request prior verification of adapted
exemplars but this is not a requirement
 A sample of centres will be selected for Postal
Verification in year one
 This will provide support and feedback to
centres included in the sample
 SQA will develop a bank of exemplar materials
drawn from good practice for all languages
 Centres who contribute materials to this bank
will be acknowledged
