Unit Assessment
3 units – 3 assessments called NABs
Usually taken at or near the end of a unit
Intermediate 2 = 45 minutes - 25 marks - a pass is 12.5/25 or more
Intermediate 1 = 45 minutes - 20 marks - a pass is 10/20 or more
One resit is allowed for each unit – but this is not recommended!
Failure at any one unit means no overall award
Course award
External exam run by SQA
Intermediate 2 – 2 hours, 2 x 25mark questions
on Units 1 and 2 and 2 x 15 mark questions
from Unit 3 = total/80
Intermediate 1 – 2 hours, 2 x 20mark questions
on Units 1 and 2 and 2 x 10 mark questions from
Unit 3 = total/60
