AVID 10 – Schremp Take a Stand for Our Greatness Objective: In a 3-4 minute multi-media presentation, AVID students will take a stand for their greatness and share three major accomplishments from this first semester. Accomplishments: 1. Academic: What is your biggest academic accomplishment from this year? a. Examples: GPA, raising a grade in a course, your first AP course, mastering a specific skill, a more confident student in a specific course. 2. AVID & AVID Skill: What is the skill you’ve mastered in AVID this semester that you are most proud of? a. Example: Cornell Notes, binder, participation in classes, confidence, WICOR 3. Personal: What is the biggest accomplishment in your personal life this semester? How have you seen yourself grow over the past 5 months? a. Example: Personality, friends, involvement in school, character **You will need a piece of evidence to provide support for these accomplishments. These pieces of evidence can be work from classes, a piece from your binder, or a picture. You need to PROVE these accomplishments happened through your explanation and a visual element.** The Presentation: 3-4 minute speech explaining these accomplishments Power Point/Google Slides to provide visual aide and show evidence Assessed on: required elements, speech quality and delivery The Process: Monday, 12/7: Present project and begin planning Tuesday, 12/8: Tutorials Wednesday, 12/9: Vocabulary Test and project work (G221) Thursday, 12/10: Tutorials Friday, 12/11: Project Work (G221) Monday, 12/14: Project Work/Practice (G221) Tuesday, 12/15: Presentations and Celebrations!
