Prepare a speech 2-3 minutes in length on one of the following topics:

Your speech should include:
Introduction – Map out your speech. Tell your audience your topic and how you are going to discuss it. Say
something interesting in your introduction to grab your audience’s attention!
Body – Make 3-4 points about your topic. Use examples, stories, statistics, etc to clarify your point of view.
Conclusion – Briefly summarize what you have said. This is your chance to leave an impression on your
audience. Say something interesting to conclude your speech. You may end your speech with a quote, a
prediction, or even a question.
You will be presenting your speech to the rest of the class. Be sure to speak clearly, make eye contact,
show enthusiasm for your topic, use non-verbal gestures, repeat key points, etc.
**Please inform your teacher of your topic as there will be only one speaker per topic. **
