GB F CLASS TRAINING WEEKEND 26-28 February 2016 Aim To explain and demonstrate F Open and F/TR to new and inexperienced members. To increase the general Knowledge of inexperienced members and those interested in participating in Competitive F Class. Outline Course To have 4 concurrent activities run over 2 ½ days, to include range and class room work at Bisley. The 2016 course has changed to allow for more range work, So Please bring plenty of Ammo. Activities 1. Reloading To discuss reloading for accuracy and safety, to answer questions on reloading and components to inexperienced reloaders. Covering both Open and F/TR disciplines. Open discussion/seminar between group and experienced reloaders. Personnel Russell Simmonds Location Class room at Bisley (Glass House at L&M) 2. Long & Short Range Shooting To discuss competition etiquette, use of score cards, shooting in pairs and the F Class Long Range Target. To be done at 600 and1000 yds as an introduction to long range Competitive shooting. There will also be a chance to use 100 yards and 600 yds on the Fri to get ready for long range on the Sat and Sun Personnel Stuart Anselm, Des Parr, David Lloyd, Gary Costello, Tony Marsh, Russell Simmonds and Ian Boxall Location Stickledown and Century ranges x 4 targets and markers Equipment Please Bring your own Rifles and equipment, we will have some F/TR Rifles avail for use and ammunition will be available for purchase on the firing point. All Course attendees will shoot a competitive match card of 2 sighters and 10 to count, There will be a small prize for the highest scoring Open and F/TR Shooter. 3. Plotting Wind and Elevation & Basic Rifle Maintenance Use of Plotting cards and wind and elevation graph plotting. Followed by discussion on Rifle cleaning and basic rifle scope maintenance. Showing how to correctly fit a scope and ensure it is upright, also basic trigger maintenance and cleaning. Personnel Mik Maksimovic Equipment Please bring your score books and a pen/pencil. 4. F Class as a Discipline, This will include an over view of the rules and etiquette involved in competing in an F Class Match. There will be an Open Forum where any questions that you may have can be answered. This will finish the course off at Approx 3-3.30 pm Costs and Course Numbers The Course will only accommodate 24 members maximum, this is to allow the 3 activities planned prior to the Final question and answer session to be manageable and give maximum benefit to attendees. The cost of the course will be £140, this does not include Accommodation or meals, which course attendees will be responsible for booking themselves. It will be on a first booked and paid basis, I am afraid that email bookings will not be taken, as we have cut the costs to the bare minimum and would like to ensure that we get maximum attendance.
