14,000 per annum plus student fees.

level or above that includes a thesis component.
Please state clearly in your application the Department, cluster and your research title.
Department: Marketing Management
Cluster: Consumers and Consumption
The behaviour of consumers in decision making and consumption are strong interests for the
Marketing Department at Oxford Brookes. Consumer experience and consumer engagement, CRM,
political voting behaviour, co-creation of value including within digital communities, cross-cultural
behaviours, gift giving behaviour in service settings, the behaviour of tourists, and symbolic
consumption represent some of the eclectic research activity in this cluster. A significant emerging
focus in the Department is that of online consumer behaviour, including aspects such as the growing
capture and (mis)use of consumer data, eWOM, digital engagement and exclusion, and C2C
communication reflecting changing social behaviours and new technologies. There is also much
interest in areas of ethical and sustainable consumption, including attack advertising in politics,
regulatory mechanisms for harmful products, and the interface between travel behaviour and
sustainable consumption. We encourage applications into these areas of consumer behaviour,
consumption and customer interaction. Applicants are welcome from relevant and complementary
disciplines such as sociology, social psychology, psychology, or technology as well as from marketing
and business studies.
