Pass specific subject requirements

English: 40 credits (4 years)
History/Social Science: 30 credits (3 years)
Laboratory Science: 20 credits (2 years)
Fine Art or Language Other Than English: 10 credits (1 year)
Career Technical Education (CTE): 10 credits (1 year)
Physical Education: 20 credits (2 years)
Health: 5 credits (1 semester)
Electives: 60 credits

CSU GPA x 800 + SAT Score
OR
CSU GPA x 200 + 10 x ACT Composite Score
Students must have a minimum eligibility index of 2900
for admission to a CSU using SAT scores or a
minimum of 694 using ACT score

SAT vs. ACT







ACT questions tend to be more straightforward
SAT has a stronger emphasis on vocabulary
ACT has a Science section while the SAT does not
ACT tests more advanced math concepts
ACT Writing Test is optional on exam day, but
required by many schools
SAT is broken up into more sections
ACT is more of a “big picture” exam
