STUDENT APPLICATION MATERIALS
Applicants to the Gulu Uganda Country Dairy (GUCD) Entrepreneur Training Center must complete
the application materials provided in this packet and submit the completed application materials
electronically to administrator@gulucountrydairy.com.
Applications will be screened by the School Administrator and Advisory Council members.
Acceptable applicants will be required to take an aptitude test and submit to a personal interview
prior to admission to the program.
Students accepted into the GUCD Entrepreneur Training Center program are required to pay a
deposit of 10% of functional fees by June 1 with an acceptable plan to pay the balance for final
acceptance.
The training program is scheduled to begin on June 15.
If you are interested in the GUCD Entrepreneur Training Center program and believe this program is
perfect for you but do not meet all of the requirements for application or acceptance, please contact
administrator@gulucountrydairy.com to schedule an appointment with our administrator, Mr.
Godfrey Omony, Director of Entrepreneur Training, to discuss your concerns.
Information, Requirements and Checklist
To be eligible to apply to the GUCD Entrepreneur Training Center, students must have:





Completed a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education from Secondary School
Scored a C or higher in their A-Level subjects preferably science combinations
Residence in the Gulu district, within commuting distance (preferred, not required, but daily
attendance is required.)
Ability to pay functional fees - approximately 2.5 million (Ush)shillings/year

Students must fill out a free on-line application to GUCD Entrepreneur Training Center. The application can be found at

Following your application review, you may be selected to complete an aptitude test that will include assessment of
basic skills, problem solving and entrepreneurial aptitude to determine your readiness for the GUCD Entrepreneur
Training Center.

As part of the application process, students must write and submit a one-page essay attached to their
application.
Please address the following questions in your essay for our evaluation committee:
 Indicate why you want to attend the GUCD Entrepreneur Training Center.

 How are you prepared for Entrepreneur Center-level work and expectations?
In addition to the specific questions above, this writing assignment will be judged on:
