general administration purposes.
Typically Team Sites are created for
Divisions, Schools, Admin Units and
research centers and groups.
Document Collaboration and
sharing is a primary purpose.

Projects sites are best used for
housing content pertaining to
projects that cross
divisional/portfolio boundaries.
ADVANTAGES
 Easy, quick facility for sharing of information amongst a team
 Look and feel not a major issue because it is for internal
consumption.
 Easy to create site and author pages (no need for HTML skills, no
need for going through the tedious process of requesting for a
website, getting trained, requesting for access, authoring, getting
the site checked before going live, etc.)
 No need for publishing from a development to production
environment
 Can restrict access to UniSA staff with Active Directory Groups or
can open access to all unisa staff if required.
