Cadetships are available in 2013 in the areas of Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Materials and Mechatronics
Engineering, Procurement and Shared Services, Human Resources, and Chemistry.
To be eligible for a cadetship you must be completing Year 12 in 2012 (or have already completed) and are
planning to undertake a Bachelor of Commerce, Engineering or IT at the University of Wollongong.

The Premier’s ANZAC Memorial Scholarships 2013
Up to twenty scholarships will be awarded in 2013 to students in Years 9 or 10 (in 2012). The students will visit
significant overseas sites associated with Australia's participation in wars with all costs covered by the
scholarship.

Ausgrid, a major NSW electricity infrastructure provider, offers a range of career opportunities for high school
students.
Work Experience:
Positions are offered to Year 10, 11, 12 high school and TAFE students. Students will have the chance to work
in electrical apprenticeship centres in Newcastle, Muswellbrook and Sydney, as well as the Ausgrid Head Office
in Sydney.

Australian Stockholm Junior Water Prize
Annual water science competition for high school students between the ages of 14 and 19. Students must
develop a practical water research project aimed at improving quality of life and the environment.
Prizes include a return flight to Stockholm, accommodation to participate in a one-week cultural exchange
program, and a chance to represent Australia in the international Stockholm Junior Water Prize.

Practice SAT for US College Entry

Saturday, October 20th at 8am at St. Vincent’s College, Potts Point, Sydney.
The PSAT gives you the chance to receive feedback about your strengths and weaknesses in order to prepare
for the “real” SAT.
The PSAT will last approximately three hours. It consists of Critical Reading (two 25 minute sections), Math

Charles Allan Seymour Hawker Scholarship
The Charles Allan Seymour Hawker Scholarship aims to encourage others to help serve their country and
fellow men and women. Since 1990 the scholarship has awarded more than four million dollars to ninety-six
young Australians.
