 What a great time hearing from our pre-teens. We had 16 attend! Look forward to helping see our
kids find Christ. Keep all of our kids in prayer to help them come to a whole hearted devotion to
love & follow Christ.
 Be turning in your Bibles to John 15:14;....…get your notebooks/pens out……
 Yesterday was a great time having the Women’s Kayaking Adventure at Sunset Beach.
 Yesterday was a great time having the Men’s BBQ time at Cerritos Regional. Played old men vs.
youth in volleyball & some basketball.
 July sermons are focused on Partnerships/ Discipling/ One Another Relationships. Last week I
preached on “Partnerships are the Emphasis”!
 SLIDE #1:
 SLIDE #2: How are your partnerships/ discipling in your walk with God going? We must
AIM for love.
 SLIDE #3: The call is for ministry to evaluate & re-commit to having them & practicing
them not with our words but with actions & truth.
 We all need people in our lives to help us get to heaven. We need people in our lives to help
us remain faithful to God.
 You can’t go alone.
 We need to be consistent with our spiritual welfare because it’s about the practice of LOVE
that God expects/ commands/ directs.
PRAYER: I pray father for all of us to really look deep into our hearts with our own walk with you
& our own partnerships to help us spiritually. Help each of us have a Berean Spirit to hear these
lessons & dig further into Word, help us be teachable no matter how long we’ve been walking w/ u.
INTRO.:
 What makes us strong & helps us is RELATIONSHIPS! We need relationships outside the church
& within the church to survive & make it.
 We can have worldly relationships & we can have spiritual relationships that please God!
 As a disciple/ Christian it is essential that we have relationships we allow in our lives to teach us &
help us with our walk with God.
 Write down the names of 3-4 friends who have been instrumental in your spiritual walk!
 Write down the names of 3-4 friends who are helping you spiritually now? When’s last time you
met with them to be open, to practice love, to help us soar spiritually?
Slide #4…. Partnerships/ Discipling Relationships “Wind Beneath Our Wings”
Slide #5: Friends
Slide #6: Friends/ Partnerships are the Wind beneath our Wings…..
 It must have been cold there in my shadow,
to never have sunlight on your face.
You were content to let me shine, that's your way.
You always walked a step behind.
So I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strength.
A beautiful face without a name for so long.
A beautiful smile to hide the pain.
It might have appeared to go unnoticed,
but I've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it.
I would be nothing without you.
Did you ever know that you're my hero?
You're everything I wish I could be.
I could fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
Did I ever tell you you're my hero?
You're everything, everything I wish I could be.
Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
 Friendships are the Wind beneath OUR Wings.

rejected, deserted…. He chose to LOVE! So should we!
Slide #13: POINT #2: Examples of Friendship
Slide #14: EXODUS 33:11; Lord spoke to Moses face to face like a friend.
JAMES 2:23; Abraham was called God’s friend

Slide #16: Eccl.4:9-12; pity the one who has no one, how can one keep warm alone?
Slide #17: Without friends we are like ships floating aimlessly without a rudder, without purpose on

Slide #23: Cracked Pot: Read story
A Chinese man had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which he carried across his neck.
One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of
water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half
full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the man bringing home only one and a half pots of
water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was
ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made
to do. After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the man one day by the
stream. “I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way
back to your house.” The man smiled, “Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path,
but not on the other pot’s side”? That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted
flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them. For two
years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table of the King. Without you
being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house of our dear King. Each
of us has our own unique flaw. Each of us has our own unique flaws. We’re all cracked pots. But it’s
the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.
You’ve just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them. Don’t be afraid
of your flaws. Acknowledge them, and you too can be the cause of beauty. Know that in our
weakness we find our strength. Take time to plant seeds, water them & enjoy the smell of the
flowers of LIFE!
