It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. Robinson High School opened its International Baccalaureate (IB) Magnet Program in 2006 and was authorized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School by International Baccalaureate North America in 2008. 2015 School Enrollment Grade No. Enrolled 9 499 10 413 11 380 12 352 Total 1645 School Population White Black Hispanic Asian Native American Multiracial 772 239 348 126 2 158 Academic Offerings College Board Advanced Placement Program International Baccalaureate Program Dual Enrollment with Colleges Honors/Accelerated AVID ESOL Exceptional Student Education MacDill Aeronautical Academy Partnership with Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Naval & Marine ROTC Travel & Tourism, Culinary, Auto Mechanics, Early Childhood Education, Business Technology, & Marketing Biology Calculus AB Chemistry Computer Science English Language English Literature Environmental Science European History Human Geography Latin Macroeconomics Music Theory Physics Psychology Spanish Language Statistics Studio Art US Government & Politics U.S. History World History Transcripts & GPA The transcript begins with eighth grade. Credit is given for high school level courses taken in eighth grade. The grade point average is cumulative, and includes high school courses taken in eighth grade as well as all courses taken in ninth through twelfth grade. All courses taken are included in the computation of the GPA. All Pre-IB and Honors courses are designated by an H or a Y in the course flag column of the transcript, and earn extra weight of 0.04 per semester per course. All AP (Advanced Placement) courses and senior IB courses are designated by a Z in the course flag column and earn 0.08 per course per semester. The weight is added after the GPA is calculated in the usual manner—by dividing grade points by credits. The school year is divided into 2 semesters. Rank in Class Traditional students at Robinson are ranked within the senior class of the school. IB students are ranked county-wide because the IB Program is a magnet program and students are drawn from the entire district. District policy prohibits the ranking of IB students within the Robinson High School senior class. Final rank is calculated in March of the senior year. Robinson High School has two valedictorians and two salutatorians—one from the IB and one from the traditional class. They participate widely in sports, student government, honor societies, vocational organizations, service clubs, and fine arts programs such as band, orchestra and drama with traditional students. To achieve a balance between homework and extracurricular activities, they are encouraged to participate in-depth in two or three extracurricular activities, as opposed to wide involvement.
