Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System
To use the IVRS, workers need access to the participant’s touch-tone telephone, their Worker
ID Number, Knowledge of service(s) being provided and in some case the participant’s CLTC
number. Below is a sample script of a CHECK-IN call with no errors:
 Welcome to the South Carolina Care Call Voice Response System. English press 1.
 1 is pressed.
 To Check-IN, press 1, To Check-OUT, press 2. To hear South Carolina participant
Medicaid Eligibility information, press 3.
 1 is pressed.
 Please enter your eight-digit South Carolina Care Call Worker ID. To return to the main
menu, press the pound key (#).
 The correct 8 digits are pressed.
 You have entered (the provider name and worker name will be spoken)
 If this is correct, press 1. Otherwise press 2.
 1 is pressed
 Please enter the Participant’s 7-digit CLTC number.
 The correct 7 digits are pressed.
 You have selected to provide services for (the participant name will be spoken)
 If this is correct, press 1. Otherwise press 2.
 1 is pressed
 If the service is (the authorized service(s) for this provider will be spoken) press 1.
 1 is pressed (if there is more than one service, each service will be spoken
followed by the number to press to select it)
 You have entered (the service is repeated). If this correct press 1.
 If you have completed entering services, press 1. To enter a second service, press 2.
 1 is pressed (only personal care services PC2 and PC1 may be called in together)
 (The worker and provider names are repeated)
 You are providing (the service is repeated)
 For (the participant name is repeated)
 If this is correct, press 1. If not press 2.
 1 is pressed
 Your Check-IN is successful at (the time is given). Don’t forget to check-out before
leaving this participant. To end this call, press 9 or to verify Medicaid Eligibility, press1.
 9 is pressed
