The sessions were advertised as “post-sessions” on Saturday to also encourage local educators to attend. With the newlydeveloped criteria of 15 paid pre-registrants by the Sept. 15 deadline, however, only one of the five pre-conference sessions met that criteria and will be offered at the TED, 2013 conference. “Co-teaching at the university level” will be offered, but sessions related to literacy, mathematics, and collaboration in schools and working with paraprofessionals were all canceled. -Members of the PD Committee decided to create a survey for TED membership to determine both content offerings and days to offer for possible pre- or post-conference sessions. There is also an additional fee for attending the sessions. -A calendar of topics, dates, and speakers was generated, video-taped, and completed for monthly releases on the TED website of “Featured Scholars”, as well as a message from the TED President, Dr. Correa. With each monthly release, communication with TED membership through social media (Face book and twitter) occurs with the goal to encourage members to visit the TED website. -Additional “Featured Scholars” have been nominated. Letters to the nominated professionals will be sent to set times and locations for videotaping in conjunction with TED annual conference. -Discussions re: applying for a mini-grant was held with members of the TED PD committee and several TED leaders re: teacher efficacy. No decisions to submit were finalized. -Draft videos to celebrate and share student successes were completed in conjunction with teacher educators and recipients of the OSEP-funded 325T grants and emailed to Dr. Suzanne Robinson and Dr. Vivion Correa. No further action at this time. -Multiple meetings to accomplish committee objectives and plan for annual work were completed via in person (at national conferences) and through Adobe Connect.
