We will be studying the human body systems focusing on how their parts (anatomy) function together (physiology) to sustain life (characteristics of life).
Each student will create an anatomy & physiology book ON
PAPER (not on the computer) with sections for each of the major body systems. Individual sections will be minor assessment grades and the whole book will be a major assessment grade and will include information on disorders of each system.
Each body system section with have the following parts:
• Overall Functions
• Parts and their individual functions
• Labeled sketch of the body system
• Citations of your sources
Overall Functions of the Skeletal System
• Supports body and anchors movement of limbs
• Protects vital organs
• Makes red and white blood cells
• Stores calcium
