You can calculate change by counting on for any value up to
a pound using just two steps.
Step 1 Count on to the next 10
Step 2 Count forward in 10s until you reach 100p (£1)
and then add both your answers together.

Step 1 Count forward starting at 44p to the next 10, which is 50p
Answer: 6p
