AP European History Six Weeks Project: News release or Obituary
Paper Requirements:
 1 pages, typed and single-spaced, 1” margins, Times New Roman—12 font
 A cover page
 At least 3 sources (may NOT include textbook)
 Documentation: Use MLA-style internal documentation
 Works Cited page (separate page)
 Include a timeline (separate page)
 E-mail me at “Howard mayo" hmayo@mtairy.k12.nc.us. with an attachment This will
be put on my teacher web page
If you have all of the above, you will receive an 70.
The final twenty points are based on an oral presentation. Use posters, power
point, overhead transparencies, and handouts, to add to your presentation. This
must last 4 to 6 minutes. (You will lose 3 points if over/under this time.)
Obituary or news release his/her
contributions. Be sure to include their birth and
major events with dates
If you choose a battle, write about the battle from a reporters view point
Describe the commanders and strategies (if possible). Give specific details,
such as size of the armies, number of deaths. Describe the events of the battle,
and tell who won. Tell why the battle was important to the war, or how you
feel about the outcome. Make sure you cite your sources!(MLA)
If you choose a piece of Equipment, explain its role in the Industrial
Revolution. Who invented it, or how did it develop? Did it alter the nature of
making things? Give examples of when it was used, etc.
WORK TURNED IN AFTER THE DUE DATE WILL LOSE TEN
POINTS FOR EVERY DAY IT IS LATE. AFTER FIVE DAYS, YOU
WILL RECEIVE A ZERO.
Plagiarism or any suspicion of plagiarism will result in a
visit with Mrs. George and a zero if you are found guilty of
cheating.
