Position Description Position: Junior Airport Draftsperson Location: Gold Coast Department: Planning and Projects Reports to: Senior Technical Officer Status: Full Time __________________________________________________________________________ Purpose of the role: The Junior Airport Draftsperson will work within a multi-disciplined team using Autodesk software, and under direction and onsite training will help maintain a spatial database and subsequently produce CAD detail drawings of QAL (Queensland Airports Limited) Civil and Architectural assets. In time the successful applicant will provide conceptual civil design drawings, Runway, Taxiway and Apron geometric designs, Airfield line marking designs and Obstacle Limitation Surfaces drawings that are compliant with CASA Manual of Standards Part 139, for all QAL Airports. Maintain Lease Master Plans and drawings defining individual field leases and retail leases within QAL Terminal Buildings A major part of the role is to continually update the QAL database with information using surveyed Work as Executed information or information gained by QAL staff undertaking field surveys using QAL surveying equipment. Training in how to undertake basic surveys (Detail survey and PCA lease surveys) will be provided onsite. Key Result Areas: 1. Maintain AutoCAD drawings, reference files & Revit Models 2. Maintain AutoCAD drawings, reference files & Revit models. Maintain AutoCAD reference files & Revit models to reflect up to date information of above ground and underground assets, (buildings, lights, runways, aprons, taxiways, water, sewerage, electric cabling etc). Production and maintenance of a lease master and individual lease plans for land and retail leases at QAL airports. Assist in the maintenance of an on-line drawing library of consistently used drawings. Preparation of project drawings for tender purposes. Input work as executed information into the relevant AutoCAD database. 2. Quality and WH&S Monitor compliance to relevant statutory regulations and airport policies and guidelines. Ensure all relevant legislation, policies and procedures are adhered to. Identify any WH&S issues, report using appropriate procedure and followed up Provide quality internal and external customer service. Comply with the environmental responsibilities outlined in the Airport Environment Policy and co-operate with and participate in all Company related programs to make the work environment healthier and safer. Ensure safe and secure operations are maintained within the airside environment by ensuring developments comply with relevant legislation, regulations, standards and codes. This includes adhering to the relevant QAL Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) responsibilities and ensuring that all actions are in line with relevant regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
