The Local Academy has been fully operational since September 2002. The Local Academy has conducted CCNA and had a total of 648 (Sept 2002 to July 2006). Microsoft IT Academy Microsoft IT Academy (MSITA) is a collaboration between MMU and Microsoft to offer professional skill based courses for MMU students at a reasonable rate. FIST’s MSITA has been fully operational since 19 June 2004. Classes are usually conducted during weekends or at nights. Since its inception in June, 2004, eleven (11) of courses had been successfully conducted and three (3) are currently running in 2006. A hundred and sixty one (161) students have benefited from the courses and forty five (45) more students currently going through the courses.
