Complete Blood Count with Auto Diff
 CBC – WBC, RBC, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, MCV, MCH, MCHC, Platelet count, RDW (%,
#), MPV
 Auto differential – Neut (%, #), Lymphs (%, #), Monos (%, #), Baso (%, #), Eos (%, #)
 Additional Differential (most common abnormal cells) – NRBC, Bands, Metamyelocytes,
Myelocytes, Promyelocytes, Blasts. Consider Immature cells or immature graunlocytes?
Not sure how many abnormal cells to include. Lab information systems vary as to how
they are reported (i.e. discreet results vs. comments). Recommend not going down
path to capture RBC morphology at this time.
Urinalysis
 Macroscopic (automated, dipstick)
o Appearance – Color, clarity
o Specific gravity, pH, ketones, blood, WBC, protein, glucose, occult blood,
bilirubin, urobilinogen, nitrite
 Microscopic
o WBC, RBC, epithelial cells, renal cells, casts, crystals, bacteria, yeast, mucus,
trichomonas
Complete Metabolic Panel (CMP) - done
 Glucose, BUN, Creatinine, BUN/Creat ratio, sodium, potassium, chloride, CO2, calcium,
total protein, albumin, globulin, alb/glob ratio, direct bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase,

Hepatic Function Panel (covered under CMP)
 Total protein, albumin, total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase, SGOT, SGPT
Hepatitis Panel – have individual tests - need to ID which are covered!
 Hepatitis A Ab, Hepatitis B surface Ag, Hepatitis B core Ab, Hepatitis B surface Ab,
Hepatitis C Ag
Hepatitis Panel – Acute – have individual tests - need to ID which are covered!

Additional considerations
1. Review HEDIS panels to verify that tests (not specific LOINC codes) are included on the In-Scope
test list
2. Review LOINC universal order code list to verify the recommended panel components of the
order codes are consistent with the In-Scope test list
