Common Core Learning Standards: RI.9-10.1, RL.9-10.3, W.9-10.1, W.9-10.2, W.9-10.4 Vocabulary (for active Word Wall): Instructional Materials/Resources: Cornell Notes, pens, pencils, Notes on body systems Do Now: Write a short essay (2-3 paragraphs) on the following: Describe two or more body systems that we have discussed. Include the names of the systems you are discussing along with a brief description of their functions, the organs they consist of, how those two systems work together to help the body maintain homeostasis, and what would happen to the body if something were to go wrong with that particular body system. Mini-Lesson with Modeling: (“I do) Time Instructional Grouping: Differentiation Strategies: 5 mins Time 10 mins Students must complete this written assignment by the end of class and will be collected by the substitute teacher! It counts as an exam grade.
