You may use any scientific or graphing
calculator you like as long as it can calculate
factorials, permutations, combinations, means
and standard deviations and has trigonometric
functions.
no calculators with computer algebra systems
If you need to buy a calculator, talk to me
first.

There will be no +/- grading
A 90 to 100%
B 80 to 89.9%
C 70 to 79.9%
D 60 to 69.9%
• Grade Breakdown
E below 60%
Midterm Exams – 50%
Final Exam (exam 6) – 10%
Homework, quizzes, participation – 40%

• Attendance Policy
For Fall and Spring semesters:
For classes that meet two days a week,
the maximum number of allowed absences
is four (4).
Students who exceed the number of
allowed absences will receive a grade of
EN.
Being late or leaving early constitutes an
absence (even if it is "only a minute").

Studying and Preparation Time:
The course requires you to spend
time preparing and completing
assignments. A three-credit course
requires a minimum of 135 hours of
student work.

Course Set-up
This course is sectioned into six
modules. Each module consists of video
lectures, homework assignments,
quizzes, and a test.
Videos are assigned to be watched
before class. In class, you will work on
the homework and complete group
quizzes.
