They also had free enterprise, new inventions, transportation, workforce, all of this together played an important role in the process of becoming an industrial nation. Free Enterprise At the heart of this was entrepreneurs, they were people who risk their capital in organizing and running a business. Laissez-faire, supporters of laissez-faire believed the government should not interfere in the economy. Supporters argue that if the GOV. regulates the economy, it increases costs and hurts society more than it helps. Railroads helped increase the size of markets for many products. Increase industry workforce This human resources were as important as natural resources in enabling the nation to industrialize rapidly. This increase population between 1860 and 1910 It also Increase in crime Between 1870 and 1910, 2o million immigrants arrived to U.S, they added to industrial workforce, and helped the factories to increase their production.
