(Rev 6:8) – “A third of mankind was killed by the three plagues of fire, smoke and sulfur…The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands ” (Rev 9:18,20) Immediate Signs of Jesus’ Return • Heavenly Objects are shaken up – “Immediately after the distress of those days 'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’” (Matt 24:29) – “The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind.” (Rev 6:12,13) Jesus’ Return • Jesus comes in glory – “At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn.
