Announcements for Friday, September 11, 2014
 Overmatched the Reidsville Soccer Team fell to our Men last night 4-0.
Reidsville played ten men on defense all night but were unable to keep up
with our Cougars. Tommy Clunan scored twice on a penalty kick but only
one counted. Joseph Aguilar scored with a strong ball in front of the goal
through several Reidsville defenders. Lee Davis again drove a ball deep into
the back of the net from 30 yards followed by Tristan Tracy-Roborts’ circus
kick for the final goal. The Cougars played very well on defense with
Christian Tobar having another great night in goal.
 The Cougar Golf Team finished second yesterday in the Mid-State 3A
conference match held at Bryan Park. Olivia John led the Cougars with a
score of 39. Other scores for the Cougars were 43 by Hailey Joy, 44 by Evin
Flinchum, 51 by Caroline Cummings, and 62 by Addison Butler.
 The Junior Varsity Football Team traveled to Northeast Guilford last night
and improved their record to 2 & 1 with a 23 to 6 win over the Rams. Noah
Clark scored two touchdowns and Angel Zarate passed to Grey Cook for
another. Zarate booted a pair of extra points and finished the night's scoring
by kicking a 32 yard field goal. After allowing a touchdown on Northeast's
initial possession the Cougar defense stiffened and Northeast was unable to
produce any more points. RCHS forced four Northeast turnovers. Conner
Plaster had a pair of interceptions and Austin Paynter also picked off a pass.
