– Currently focused on increased communications
between faculty and staff within the University
– Using Wordpress/BuddyPress. Waiting for release
of CUNY’s Commons In A Box (Mellon Funded)
slated for November.

• Innovative Instruction Technology Grants (ITTG)
– 117 proposals received and reviewed
• Award levels $10K, 20K, 60K
• Next year up to $120K for scalable projects involving
multiple campuses
– 48 grants awarded resulting in approximately
$800,000 in funds to campuses

• Other interesting activities within SUNY
– Stony Brook University and the University at Buffalo
are involved in the Internet2 e-textbook initiative that
includes Open Textbook publisher Flatworld
Knowledge
– Tompkins Cortland Community College received a
NGLC grant to work with 7 other schools on Project
Kaleidoscope. They have been providing additional
funding and they will be brining additional SUNY
community colleges into the project.
