Criteria 1: Demonstrated ability to teach effectively and/or perform effectively in other
current assignments.
Specific Objectives:
1. Complete a technology redesign for the Specialist program implementing iPad
technology. I will work with the division of instructional technology to realign
course assignments to use apps that will support principals in the field. Beginning
spring 2013 students in the Specialist program will be issued an iPad. The vision
is that when students graduate from the Specialist program they will leave with an
iPad loaded with e-books, apps, and materials supporting and enhancing their
ability to be skilled and effective K-12 principals.
2. Continually monitor implementation of courses through on-going reflection,
student dialogue, and solicitation of specific student feedback.
3. Implement a second Institute for the Engaged Principal Leadership Institute for
Early Career Leaders ensuring that the cohort populations reflect participants
from urban, suburban, and rural schools.
4. Advise doctoral student(s) throughout the research and writing of his/her
dissertation.
5. Develop and implement an onboarding program from Minneapolis School District
for first year principals.
6. Submit documentation materials for tenure.

Educational Leadership at the Minnesota State University, Mankato at Edina. I
will work towards moving the revised courses to the College of Education
curriculum system.

the University Partner for Minneapolis Public Schools Aspiring Transformation
Principal Leadership program. (Criteria 1 - Artifact 9)
10. In partnership with colleagues from the KSP and Maverick Recruitment Center

school to community colleges to MNSU creating a fiscally manageable program
for students residing in the Twin Cities. Other than Metropolitan State University,
Minnesota State University (MNSU) at Edina is the only other 4-year public
institution in the Metro area thus being the most affordable option that will
attract future teachers from diverse backgrounds. This three year accelerated
