Eagle Eye Work Plan Document
Statement of Research Proposal:
We are going to create a product that will allow you to track your golf ball through
wearing a set of glasses. This will be accomplished by combining google glasses with a GPS
tracking device. The information (the location of the ball, distance traveled, etc.) will be
automatically sent to an Application on your phone. In order to do this we plan to research
information on GPS navigation and Google glasses technology. With the information that we
find we will configure a way to merge the two technologies in order to create the “Eagle Eye”.
Questions to be Asked:
● Do you golf?
● How often?
● How often do you lose your ball?
● How long does it take to find your ball?
● If there were glasses that helped track the ball flight and directed you directly to the ball
would you wear them?
● How much would you pay for them?
● What would you think would be negatives to these glasses?
● How much information would you like these glasses to track? Wind? Yardage? Map of
the course?
● Would you like a sunglass/ normal glasses option?
Each Team Member’s Key Responsibilities:
● Jake: Editor, Online survey Manager, Research Technologies, Define the requirements
for the Website, Design Website, Develop and Test Website
● Nate: Project Manager, Presentation Manager, Design Website, Develop Website, and
Test Website
● Luke: Create Project Proposal, Communication Manager, Business Analysis, Research
Technologies, write and edit papers
● Kyle: Online Survey Developer, Library Research, Web Developer, Define Requirements
for Product, Table of Contents, write and edit papers
List of Potential Sources:
● gpssystems.net/gps-hardware-work/ - This will give us information on how a GPS system
works and all of its possible capabilities.
● http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/gadgets/other-gadgets/project-glass.htm - This will
give us information on the google glass technology, how it works, and how it’s put
together.
● http://www.madehow.com/Volume-3/Golf-Ball.html - This source tell us how a golf ball
is put together and the different raw materials that go into the forming of a golf ball.
● http://scholarlykitchen.sspnet.org/2013/03/11/welcome-to-the-surveillance-society-ofgoogle-glass-should-we-be-worried-or-relieved/ - This is a scholarly article about the
possible downsides of a technology like the one we are creating. It very clearly states the
negatives of it’s capabilities.
