which meant they should not have been helping out in any way with the war,

neutral. They had trouble staying out of this in thought because they said that
this war violated their freedom of the seas. America feels that their rights as a
neutral nation has been violated.

June 1914. They felt that it was not their war, plus they were scared that
because their was a lot of immigrants living in America from countries that
were in war would result in bitterness amongst the people. However
majority Americans supported once the war started.

1919 in the hall of mirrors. It made Germany admit guilt, they had to pay
reparations, abolish military draft, only have a military of 100,00 people, and
they could not manufacture tanks, u-boats, planes, and heavy artillery. This
was signed by the Weimar Republic and made Germany want to regain its
power and prestige. The league of nations was never part of this.
