Homework Directions
1. For every BINGO square students must read for at least 20
minutes.
2. Activities will be done in their homework folder on the lined
paper located in the brads. It should start off with listing the title
and author of the book read. For example:
I read ___________ by __________.
3. A student must complete 10 squares in any column or row in
order to satisfy the homework requirement for the six weeks.
Please identify completed squares by circling or starring them.
4. Homework will be checked every Wednesday and Friday.
However, if a student has homework completed earlier, it is their
responsibility to have the teacher check it; the teacher will then
initial the square that has been done successfully.
5. 2 BINGO squares must be completed each week by the end of the
week. Students can choose any square they would like to
complete.
6. If homework is not completed by the due date, students will be
required to have a working lunch and recess to complete
homework.
7. Students can choose to do extra BINGO squares and will be
rewarded with prizes and/or extra credit depending upon the
amount done.
8. As always, if there are any questions, please contact me at:

Dear Parents,
For the second six weeks, we will be studying poetry. I would
really encourage students to use poetry on their reading
homework. Because of this, I will be sending home a packet of
poetry that can be used on reading homework. Also, students are
able to check out poetry from the school library and use any
poetry that they have at home or check out from the public
library. If you have any questions, please let me know!
Thanks!
