• Recognition of the importance of the S/F development
as a part of university development strategy
(“Breakthrough 2001”, Tempus- QUASYS)
• Independent efforts of some faculties to start their own
teacher training courses
• Introduction concepts of institutional quality culture
and accountability
• Support of staff/faculty development in the area of CIT
(librarians, administration, young researches)

• Still dominant traditional beliefs about teaching as
transmission of knowledge
• Ecellence in teaching and/or professional competence
not tied to the promotion scheme

development
