DISTINGUISHED ACHIEVEMENT PLAN (DAP)
In addition to the credit requirements, four advanced measures
must be completed from the following:

A score of 3 or above on a College Board Advance Placement
Exam.
A score on the PSAT test that qualifies the student for
recognition as a commended scholar or higher by the College
Board and National Merit Scholarship Cooperation.
College academic courses including those taken for dual
credit and advanced technical credit courses with a grade of
“B” or higher.
Original Research and or project.

All students are required to take and pass 5 STARR

$25 refundable deposit.
Must score 80% or higher to receive credit
Credit Recovery Exam – with prior instruction



Failing grade must have been between 60-69 to qualify
$25 non-refundable fee
Must score 70% or higher to recover credit.
Compass Learning
 Online credit recovery program
 Students can work from home or in the lab on campus
 70% passing will recover credit
 Not recommended for student athletes wanting to play sports in college.

TESTING & FEE WAIVERS
College Entrance exams are:
SAT – apply at www.collegeboard.org
ACT – apply at www.actstudent.org
TSI – Texas Success Initiative, placement test for community
colleges and needed for placement on the university level as
well
If you are eligible for free/reduced lunch you will be eligible
for fee waivers for the following:
SAT, ACT, NCAA Clearinghouse and some college
