The Amazon is
crucial to the
health of the
planet. It stores
carbon dioxide
which, if released,
can accelerate
climate change.

One in ten of
the known

Helping the Amazon
Sky Rainforest
Rescue was
set up by Sky
and WWF to
save 1 billion
trees in north
west Brazil.
Helping the Amazon
It helps local people to
make a living from the
rainforest without
cutting down the trees,
and works with
governments on laws
to protect the forest.
