We will be incorporating our Amazon
Rainforest topic and the knowledge that we
have gained from our science topic, Living
things and their habitats, to research the
various habitats. We will then design and
make our own habitat for our chosen
environment.
The first half term we will be looking at Living
things and their habitats. This will involve
researching the various habitats, the animals
that live in each and the threats that are
posed to them.
Spend the second part of the term looking at
States of Matter (solids, liquids and gases). We
will look at the impact of temperature and the
changes that occur.
We will be studying the Amazon Rainforest.
We will spend our time researching the
location of the Amazon Rainforest, its 4 layers
and the animals that live there.

Mr Higley visits the school each Monday
teaching the children how to play the
glockenspiel. We will be putting on a
performance for the school during the
summer term.
As geographers we will:

This term will be developing our collage skills
using our Viking and Amazon Rainforest
topics. We will research various artists and use
specific images to design our own collages.
Visits/ Visitors:
We will be going to take part in swimming
lessons for 2 weeks throughout the summer
term.

We will be spending time researching the
Vikings and the key events that took place
during this time. This will include: Viking
armoury, clothing worn, Viking attacks and
why the Vikings invaded Britain.
PE will still remain on Wednesday and
Thursday. We will be taking part in rounders
and athletics.
PE KIT: Shorts and T-shirt for indoor PE and
tracksuit bottoms, warm top and suitable
outdoor shoes (trainers) for outdoor PE.
