Directions: One of the most critical pieces to achieving and maintaining a healthy weight is to analyze your diet and exercise, pay attention to what you are eating and what you are doing. This assignment will require you to keep track of your diet and exercise for two days during the week, utilizing a free resource called My Plate. This webpage allows you to log, track, maintain or adjust your eating habits. This is a 30 point assignment; distributions shown below.

Part 2: Creating Your Account

Scroll over SuperTracker and Other Tools, click on SuperTracker.
3.
Click on the SuperTracker highlighted in blue in the first paragraph.
4.
Click Create Your Profile under the Get Started heading.
5.
Enter the required information (Username, Age, Gender, Physical Activity Level, Height, Weight, Password).

For two days during the nutrition unit you will record what foods you consume for each meal during the day and how much of that food you consumed using the food tracker from www.choosemyplate.gov

Click Food Tracker and…………search foods/type food in/ search results (find and click on it)?choose an amount/choose meal time(s)/click +add. The more specific you are with what you consume the better results you will receive!

When finished completing 2 complete diets, print out the results from both of your diets by printing out the completed Super
Tracker pages. Do NOT print out any reports! Directions to print Super Tracker Page:
~Go to Track food & Activity
~Click on Food Tracker
~On the top of the Super Tracker Page, click print page and a new window will open.
~Scroll to the bottom click print. Change the page range to pages and only print out page 1. Click OK.
Part 5: Self-Assessment Paper: (10 points) Complete a self-assessment based on the results from your 2 diets. Here are the
requirements: This must be TYPED, no less than 200 words, double spaced, 12 pt font, 1 space after each paragraph, 1 space after each sentence, spell checked, grammatically correct, and well developed thoughts and sentence structure. Here is a list of guiding questions to guide your reflection.
Am I meeting the recommended number of calories?
Is my diet good in one area and poor in another?
Are there 1 or 2 missing nutrients in my diet? How can this be harmful to me?
What is good about my diet? What is bad about my diet?
What have I learned about my diet?
PART 6: SMART Goal:(5 pts) Set one SMART goal to improve something specific in your diet. Write the SMART Goal at the top and then include in 1-2 sentences all the components: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time. This should also be TYPED!
