 Explore Tumblr.
 Explore Reddit.

Required Setup and Resources:
You will need a computer with an Internet connection and a browser.
Recommended Procedures:
Task 1: Explore Tumblr
1. Open a browser and navigate to https://www.tumblr.com/.
2. If you already have a Tumblr account, log on; otherwise, sign up.
3. Upload an avatar.
4. Type a title and description.
5. Follow three blogs.
6. Click Next Step.
7. Select the type of smartphone you have. If you do not have a smartphone, skip this step.
8. Take a screenshot and paste it in your Word document.
9. Click Settings.

PROJECT: CREATING A BLOG USING WORDPRESS
Project Introduction:
This project focuses on a demonstration of the knowledge and skills in this course with regard to the
process of creating a blog that is integrated with multiple social media platforms. The project is split into
two parts. Part 1 is due for submission in Module 3 and Part 2 in Module 5.
This project is a great opportunity to express your unique problem-solving skills, as well as your use of
structured logic. It also allows you to be creative and begin to think about visual design. In Part 1 of the
project, you need to begin to build your blog using WordPress. You also integrate the blog with
Facebook and Google+ and allow users to share your posts to both Facebook and Google+. Integration
should include the following:



Google+ Like button

Google+ Follow button

Either a Facebook or Google+ timeline feed
Part 2 of the project requires you to continue to develop your blog and integrate it with LinkedIn,

include share buttons and follow buttons for each platform and a Twitter stream feed.
