Justification for course change. The public health program in the department of Health Sciences has determined through past enrollment and student success data that the pre-requisite used for many of the upperdivision PH courses (HS 200 with a B or better) should be change to HS 200 with a C or better. The previous requirement of an earned B was not necessary to promote or predict success in future courses. The requirement was also creating advising complications when students earn a C and needed to repeat a course that was not eligible for grade replacement. Therefore we are removing a barrier to student progress while maintaining the standards of the program. 8. Effective BEGINNING of what term and year? See effective dates calendar.
