Home life
• The day starts about 6.30. We usually have
toast and eggs for breakfast. Mom and Dad
have breakfast and some coffee. People in
Serbia like drinking a glass of milk in the
morning. In the morning, some people read
newspapers when they drink coffee.
• We leave the house at 7.25. Mum and Dad go to
work by car. I take the bus to school. I usually
walk to the bus stop with other friends. A lot of
Serbian people travel to work by car.
• At the weekend, I sometimes go to a football match, and my Dad
always packs equipment in his bag. Before the game, I practice
maths. I watch the match with my friends in the village football
field.

Shopping in Zaječar
• My favorite clothes shop is “Extra
cene” in Ljuba Nešić Street. Many
people buy clothes in that shop. It’s
not expensive and clothes are really
nice. There are many other shops, too.
• If you like reading, go to “Kaligraf”
in Svetozara Markovića Street. It’s a
bookstore with a lot of interesting
books for people of all ages and
interests.

Mini phrase book
When you meet someone in the
street, he says:
• “Dobro jutro, kako ste?’’
• You should say:“Dobro jutro,
hvala na pitanju, dobro sam. A ti?“
”
When you depart with someone you
say:
• “Doviđenja’’
• “Vidimo se”
•
“Prijatan dan”.
At my school, we usually
say:
• “Dobro jutro”
• “Dobar dan” to our
teachers when we meet.
When you meet your friend
you says:
• “Ćao”
• “Zdravo”.
When you go to bed you
say:
• “Laku noć”
• “Prijatno veče”.
At a shop, a pharmacy, a
bakery and a café, you have to
be polite, for example:
• “Da li mogu da dobijem
parče pice?”
• “Možete li da mi donesete
gusti sok od jagode?”
When you accidentally push
someone, you say:
 “Izvinite slučajno sam, da
li ste dobro?”
 “Treba li vam pomoć?”
When you sit down at the
table for a meal you say:
 “Prijatno.”
 “Uživajte u ručku.”
If you want to know where a
place is, ask:
 “Izvinite. Možete li mi
pokazati gde se nalazi
supermarket?”
 “Da li je ovde negde u
blizini autobuska stanica?”
Entertaiment in Zaječar
• The theater in Zajecar
exists for almost 70
years, despite numerous
problems that occured
throughout the years.
Since its opening, the
theater has had over 400
premieres. We really like
the play Three Little Pigs.
• If you are staying in Zaječar for a while, you can have fun in
different ways. You can play football, volleyball, basketball,
tennis and many other sports. But if you're not a sports fan, you
can visit our theater and cinema that have a great program .
