Assign competitors to divisions
Assign divisions to mats to have approximately
the same number of matches on each mat
For each mat, number all possible matches
sequentially



Skip byes
Do first round in each division, then second round in
each division, etc.
Objective is to avoid down time on the mat and to
give each player max time between matches

know if chokes and arm bars are allowed)
Insure there is no down time on the mat due to
improper staging of athletes

Medical exams
Golden score
Events that occur just as time expires
Uncertain end to the match

