Each person will go 5 times Task 2: For this activity students get into groups of two. Each group will have a 7 iron and a hula-hoop. The hula-hoop will be placed on the ground. The person swinging first will step into the hulahoop and place their feet at each end; this will help the students figure out how far apart their feet need to be. Each student will hit 5 golf balls using the full swing. Partners will then switch and the next person will hit 5 golf balls while standing in the hula-hoop. Task 3: Students will practice hitting the golf ball to work on the full swing with the 7-iron in a “free stance”. Each partner will hit 5 golf balls (10 golf balls total) and their partner stands in a close enough proximity give feedback on their stance and swing. Task 4: Hitting to circles of cones (working on aim) -1 circle at 30-40 yards -1 circle at 50-60 yards Each partner hits 5 balls, aim for either circle (can chose), but pick which one b4 hitting it. Task 5: For this final task, students are going to have a partner challenge. The setup will remain the same as students are now trying to compete after practicing all of their skills. The goal of this task is for students to set a challenge between their partnerships in a game called “GOLF”. One student takes a shot first and calls out their target. If the first student is able to perform their task, the second student must make the shot as well. If the second student misses, they receive a “G”. This game is played much like the basketball game of “HORSE”. If a round is finished quickly, students who won should challenge other winners. REFERENCES (2013).
