The Park has a sports hall which transforms into a fantastic theatre space and hosts a wide range of events for all the family. Events include sporting events, community shows, public exhibitions, theatrical performances, live stage shows, concerts, celebration events, conferences and religious festivals and celebrations. Through the events programme we hope to attract new people into the centre to experience the whole range of opportunities on offer. Our wish is that people can enjoy a great night out at the Leisure and Culture Park and that this increases social engagement between residents and the local community. With high quality staging, lighting and sound equipment available, Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park will aim to attract a variety of concerts and events to suit everyone’s tastes. The seating capacity of 850 will help ensure that the facility is capable of attracting high profile performers. The facilities team will work closely with organisers to ensure that all events operate efficiently, effectively and exceed customer expectation. We have introduced reserved seating as of 2014. Doors to the space open half an hour before performance. Location / Car Parking Based in the heart of the community, the venue is served well by local bus routes and a train station in Huyton town centre – a short distance away making the venue easily accessible to local and national visitors. The venue has its own car parking with over 200 spaces plus spaces for people with disabilities. There is an overspill car park at King George V Sports Complex, Longview Lane, Huyton which is a 10 to 15 minute walk away from the venue. Accessibility Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park (KLCP) aims to be accessible and welcoming to all. We hope to make your visit easy and enjoyable Disabled people are eligible for the concessionary rate and may bring a personal assistant along with them who is also eligible for the concessionary rate There is level access to the building, an automatic front door and low level counters at Reception, Bar & Café. There is lift access to the first floor and wheelchair access and toilet facilities accessible on the ground floor. KLCP has 20 designated car parking spaces for blue badge holders at all times. These spaces cannot be reserved. Support dogs are welcomed in all areas of the building. An infra-red transmission system is available in the main sports hall / performance spaces and the best quality of sound is through a headset. If you prefer to use the T switch on your hearing aid, you will need to wear an induction loop aerial around your neck. You can borrow this item from the reception.
