Notebooks
• Notebooks need to be at school every day.

• Notebooks must be complete. When a
student is absent, it is important that the
student make-up the notes/work missed
• Please check notebooks nightly for
completion.
Homework
• Students will be assigned math homework Monday thru
Thursday. Occasionally, a math assignment or project
will need to be completed over the weekend. The
homework will be checked and/or collected and graded
for completeness (100% effort) and neatness. To receive
credit for the work, students must write the problem (in
pencil), and show all their work. It is not acceptable to
write the answers only. Corrections must be made in
ink.
• Homework is due at the beginning of class. Late
homework will not be accepted. A stamp will be given in
your child’s agenda for each assignment that is
complete. If an assignment is incomplete, no stamp will
be given. You can check your child’s agenda daily to
ensure homework has been completed.
Projects
• Expect projects in both math and science:
• Math: 2-4 projects– scale drawings,
fraction flip-book, math A-Z book
(possibilities)
• Science: 2-4 projects – Earth’s core
Agenda
• All students will be issued an agenda. This is an
important tool for success during the middle
school years. Homework assignments will be
written on the board for students to copy into the
agenda. Please check your student’s agenda
daily for completeness, and sign daily when the
work is complete. If your child was unable to
copy down the homework assignment due to an
absence, you can always check the class
website.
