Personification Poem
By Mikayla
I am a stocking.
I live in a house hanging above a fireplace.
My favorite colors are red, white, and green.
I wear ribbon and my name is across the top.
My job is to hold presents.
My family and friends are other stockings, a tree,
and the decorations.
I go on vacation to the basement.
My favorite holiday is Christmas because I get to
see Santa.
I move when Santa puts the presents in me.
Conversation Poem
By Mikayla

I am a mouse.
I pretend to be a president.
I feel crumbs.
I touch shiny things.
I worry if I’m not cool.
I cry because people are mean.
I am a mouse.
I understand that I’m not cool.
I say squeak, squeak, squeak.
I dream about eating people up.
I try to be cool.
I hope to be king of England.
