• Digestive System Continued – Ch. 15.3, “Final Digestion and Absorption” (pp. 524-527)
Below is a list of what pieces to study for the upcoming TEST.
• Read and Complete ‘Study Guide Pieces ‘a – f’ on the ‘given day/night’ which are assigned below.
• STUDY each study guide piece to your advantage in helping you prepare for the test.
1. Study Guide Piece a = (1st day/night of studying is Monday, March 2!) : Study Ch. 15.2 Key Terms &
Matching Definitions (Your T-Chart)!
2. Study Guide Piece b = (2nd day/ night Tuesday, March 3!): Study Ch. 15.2 GRS/RR, “Guided Reading
and Study” with/ “Review & Reinforce” NOTES you completed/ filled-In from the textbook research/
reading of Ch. 15.2! (Important Memo: Be sure you have cross-referenced YOUR notes with the
TEACHER notes for accuracy. GO TO MY WEBSITE AND CLICK ON THE LINK FOR ‘GRS/RR TEACHER’S
NOTES OF CH. 15.2, “THE DIGESTIVE PROCESS BEGINS”. Hooray!)
3. Study Guide Piece c = (3rd day/ night Wednesday, March 4!):

First, do a ‘CROSS-REFERENCE of YOUR NOTES with the TEACHER NOTES of the Ch. 15.2
SECTION ASSESSMENT QUESTIONS & ANSWERS THAT YOU COMPLETED AT THE END OF
SECTION 2 OF CHAPTER 15! 

Secondly, perform a ‘CLOSE-READING’ REVIEW OF… Ch. 15.2 “Section Assessment” responses
using text pp. 516-521. The actual ‘SA’ questions are found on text pg. 521! (Important
Memo to also do= Check my webpage for ‘teacher notes/ answer key ‘of these’ SECTION
ASSESSMENT items, AND CROSS REFERENCE YOUR OWN RESPONSES WITH THE TEACHER
RESPONSES! Best wishes. )
4. Study Guide Piece d = (4th day/ night – Friday, March 6!....Notice, we have skipped Thursday, March

Ch. 15.3 GRS/ RR, “Guided Reading”/ “Review and Reinforce” NOTES (Your own ‘fill-in’ notes. Make
sure you have cross-referenced your notes with the teacher notes for accuracy… to do this, you NEED

6. Study Guide Piece f = (6th &/or 7th day /night of studying –Saturday, March 7 &/or Sunday, March
8!) :

1st … Study Full Digestive System from your completed FOLDER/ POSTER PROJECT Content of
structures & functions of digestive organs in the alimentary canal AND supporting organs as
well. Also, be sure you know details about ‘MD’ and ‘CD’ (mechanical digestion AND chemical
digestion). Your poster will have all these details for you as well as Chapter 15.3 in your
textbook. In addition, cross-reference your OUTLINE for the main ideas about ‘mechanical’
and ‘chemical’ digestion.)
2nd…Take the time to study EACH ‘FIGURE’ & ‘MATCHING CAPTION’ within the textbook pages of
chapter.sections 15.2 and 15.3. (HELPFUL HINT = These pictures (FIGURES) and the associated
matching captions that explain the FIGURES are so so helpful to study. Go for the GOLD with this
‘study guide piece’ dear students!  )
7. Study Guide Piece g = (ALSO on the 6th &/or 7th day/ night of Studying – Saturday, March 7 &/or
Sunday, March 8 ) : ‘Put-it-All-Together’ = Re-study ‘Study Guide Pieces a-f to see and know the
‘overview’ and ‘details’ about the digestive system. Reminder…THE TEST IS TOMORROW. I wish you
