• Life science deals with living things.
• Physical science deals with matter and
energy.
• Earth science investigates Earth and space.

• Geology
• Meteorology
• Oceanography
• Astronomy
The first is:
GEOLOGY
which studies
the systems of
the Earth's
interior and
surface
The second is:
ASTRONOMY
which studies
the universe,
stars, planets,
and moons
In our case how the
Earth relates to
it’s place in
the celestial sphere
and how that effects
The Earth’s systems.
The third is:
METEOROLOGY
which studies the
Earth's
atmosphere:
weather and
storms
The fourth is:
OCEANOGRAPHY
which studies
the Earth's
oceans.

Earth and Environmental Science???

• It is the study of the interactions
between biological and physical
systems. Specifically how humans
impact these physical systems.
